Action
- Place IV catheter, start 20 mL/kg normal saline (0.9% sodium chloride) bolus
- Check rapid glucose level and give dextrose as needed
- Order serum electrolytes and renal function testing (Class I)
- Give IV ondansetron if available (Class II)
- Transfer to emergency department
