- Consider:
- relative afferent pupillary defect
- optic nerve injury
- retinal detachment
Teardrop pupil(s)
- Stop examination
- Give patient a rigid eye shield (Class III)
- Obtain imaging (Class II)
- Provide tetanus prophylaxis (Class II)
- Administer IV antibiotics (Class II)
- Obtain ophthalmology consult (Class II)
