Action

• Consider lumbar puncture in patients for whom meningitis, encephalitis, or SAH is a consideration (Class I)
• Check glucose, obtain CBC and metabolic profile (Class II)
• Obtain CT of the brain (Class II)
• Consider further imaging, eg, CTV/MRV, if cerebral venous thrombosis is

suspected (Class II)

• Consult neurology and ob/gyn (Class II)
• Admit to hospital (Class II)
